Robin
G. Coles is an independent copywriter and consultant with more than 20
years experience in business-to-business, business-to-consumer, high tech,
healthcare, telecommunications, financial, hospitality and nonprofits.
Robin has worked with many
major companies including Lotus (now IBM), Philips Electronics, South Shore
Hospital, NYNEX (now Verizon), PictureTel (now Polycom), PAREXEL, Channel
Capital Research LLC.
Robin
has seen first hand how documentation efforts impact both in-house and customer
productivity. She has helped clients understand the risks of releasing new
versions of a product with incomplete documentation. Her track record of success

and revised databases, web sites, web content and technical manuals.
As
a teacher/trainer she has taught programs such as train-the-trainer, writing,
dress for success, and entry level computer courses. Students ranged from
Welfare-to-work programs, Domestic Violence shelters, at
her local community college with the average student age 50, and helped other
non-technical employees feel more comfortable with their computer, therefore
increasing productivity.
Prior
to becoming an independent copywriter and consultant, Robin spent 10 years at
Honeywell Bull with the last 5 years as a software support specialist. She
also has a certification as an Image Consultant, and during the dotcom bust,
managed a fine dining restaurant with her son.
Robin holds a B.S. in Management Information Systems from Northeastern
University.
